About PIA S5 Proxy

PIA S5 Proxy is a residential and ISP proxy provider that built its reputation around a per-IP SOCKS5 model — instead of the per-GB metering most competitors use, you buy a bucket of IPs and burn them as you need. That pricing quirk, plus an advertised pool of 350 million+ residential addresses across 200+ countries, has made it a recurring pick for multi-accounting, sneaker copping, and budget-conscious data collection. It is not an enterprise-grade brand in the BrightData or Oxylabs sense, but it has become one of the better-known names in the Chinese-origin proxy ecosystem aimed at affiliate marketers, e-commerce operators, and indie scrapers.

The network is marketed as 350M+ residential IPs sourced from a peer-to-peer SDK model, with both rotating residential and static ISP residential lines on offer. Country coverage spans 200+ regions with city-level targeting available on most plans, and the provider also sells long-acting ISP IPs that hold for 12+ hours — useful when you need session stability for account farms or shopping carts. Note that independent reviewers at Proxyway and others have flagged that the "350M" figure does not match what actually shows up in unique-IP testing; expect the practically reachable pool to be a fraction of the marketing number. PIA S5 Proxy has also been publicly identified as a reseller built on top of IPIDEA's underlying network, which is worth knowing before you commit volume.

Pricing is where PIA S5 Proxy genuinely differs. The flagship SOCKS5 residential plan starts around $0.05 per IP (occasionally $0.03 during promos), with packages from 200 IPs / ~$48 up to 3,000+ IPs for power users, and enterprise bundles at 12,000–30,000 IPs with steep per-IP discounts. Static ISP proxies start at around $5/IP/month and long-acting ISP IPs at roughly $0.22/IP. There is also a per-GB residential tier from about $0.77/GB for buyers who prefer bandwidth metering. Unlimited concurrency and unlimited bandwidth on the per-IP plans are the headline selling points; refund terms are restrictive, so test small before committing to a large pack.

On the product side, PIA S5 Proxy is best known for its dedicated SOCKS5 client app, which lets you bind selected IPs to local ports and route specific browsers or anti-detect profiles through them — the typical workflow for Dolphin Anty, AdsPower, BitBrowser, Multilogin and similar multi-accounting stacks. SOCKS5 and HTTP(S) are both supported, sticky sessions can run beyond 12 hours on ISP lines, and there is a basic API for proxy extraction. The dashboard is functional but unpolished, and English-language support is reachable but slower than Tier-1 Western providers — most users report Telegram and ticket-based replies in hours rather than minutes.

PIA S5 Proxy makes sense if you are an individual operator or small team running multi-account workflows, ad verification, sneaker bots, or light-to-mid-scale scraping where per-IP economics beat per-GB billing — particularly if you reuse IPs across long sessions. It is not the right pick if you need audited compliance, a clean enterprise procurement story, or large-scale unblocking against the toughest anti-bot stacks (Cloudflare Enterprise, DataDome, PerimeterX). For that, Oxylabs, BrightData, or Decodo's scraping APIs are better investments. PIA S5 Proxy sits firmly on the budget-to-mid tier of the price/quality curve.

A few honest caveats: the advertised pool size is almost certainly inflated, recent user threads mention intermittent issues with the "extract IP" and "charge IP" account functions, and the provider's origin and KYC posture have drawn scrutiny from independent reviewers. Treat it as a working tool, not a long-term enterprise contract — start with a small IP pack, validate success rates on your target sites, and only scale once you have your own benchmark numbers.

Pros

  • SOCKS5 residential IPs from roughly $0.05 per IP, with promo pricing as low as $0.03
  • Per-IP billing instead of per-GB — unlimited bandwidth and concurrency on residential plans
  • 350M+ advertised residential pool with city-level targeting across 200+ countries
  • Long-acting ISP residential IPs hold sessions for 12+ hours, suited to multi-accounting
  • Native SOCKS5 client app integrates cleanly with Dolphin Anty, AdsPower, BitBrowser and Multilogin
  • Static ISP and rotating residential options under one dashboard

Cons

  • Advertised 350M pool does not match independent unique-IP testing — real reachable pool is much smaller
  • Publicly identified as a reseller of IPIDEA's underlying network, raising sourcing transparency questions
  • Recent user reports of unreliable IP extraction and account billing functions
  • Support is ticket and Telegram based with slower response times than Tier-1 Western providers

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PIA S5 Proxy

PIA S5 Proxy specializes in SOCKS5 residential proxies sold on a per-IP basis, which is the product the brand is built around. Alongside that flagship offering, the provider sells rotating residential proxies metered by bandwidth (from roughly $0.77/GB), static ISP residential IPs priced per IP per month (from about $5/IP), and long-acting ISP residential proxies that hold sessions beyond 12 hours. HTTP and HTTPS protocols are supported in addition to SOCKS5, and city-level targeting is available across most of the network. The product mix is geared toward multi-accounting, sneaker copping, ad verification and small-to-mid scraping workloads rather than enterprise scraping APIs or mobile 4G/5G pools, which PIA S5 Proxy does not currently sell.

Great for the price and the desktop S5 launcher is easy enough once you get it set up. API options are limited compared to dedicated scraping providers, so it is more for manual workflows.

The sheer pool size is impressive and per-IP pricing is dirt cheap for residential SOCKS5. I use the S5 client for multi-accounting and the country filter is granular down to city.
