About this tool

What Is the Website SEO Analyzer?

The Website SEO Analyzer audits a single page for on-page SEO and gives it a score out of 100. It checks indexability, robots.txt, the canonical tag, title, meta description, headings, content length, links, image alt attributes, structured data and social tags. Add a target keyword and it checks where that keyword appears too.

Key Features

A score out of 100, weighted by impact
Indexability, robots.txt and canonical checks
Title and meta description length checks
Heading structure and word count
Image alt attributes and internal links
Keyword placement and density checks

Fix the Failures First

The score weights each check by how much it usually matters. A noindex tag or a robots.txt block can stop a page from ranking at all, so those count heavily, while a missing Twitter card barely moves the needle. Work through failed checks before warnings and you'll get the biggest gains for the least effort.

What This Audit Doesn't Cover

On-page SEO is one part of ranking. This analyzer doesn't measure backlinks, page speed, or how your content compares with the pages that outrank you. Use it to make sure nothing on the page is holding you back, then study competing pages for the rest. Our Google SERP Checker shows who's beating you for a keyword.

Common Use Cases

  • Checking a new page before you publish it
  • Auditing a client's key landing pages
  • Finding out why a page isn't indexed
  • Checking keyword placement on a page you're optimizing

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Website SEO Analyzer free?

Yes. It's free with a ProxyHorizon account, and every account gets 25 runs a day shared across all our data tools. You can read about the tool without signing in, but running it needs an account because each run fetches live data.

How is the score calculated?

Each check has a weight based on its impact. Passed checks earn full points, warnings earn half and failures earn nothing. Informational checks don't count.

Does it check my whole site?

No, it checks one page per run. Start with your most important pages, or use the Website URL Extractor to list them.

Why does it say my canonical points to another URL?

The canonical tag names a different URL than the one you entered. That's right for duplicate pages, but if this is the main version, its canonical should point to itself.

Why are empty alt attributes OK?

An empty alt tells screen readers to skip a decorative image, which is correct. A missing alt attribute is the real problem, so that is what the check counts.
